The north–south split is the whole trick
Every other Goa package we looked at parks you in Calangute for four nights. Two and two meant we got the markets and the cruise and then two days of Palolem where the beach was basically empty. The scooter being included from day two saved us a fortune in taxis.

Seeing the aarti from the water changes it
I have been to Varanasi four times and always watched the aarti from the steps, wedged in. From a boat it is a completely different experience. Our guide was a Banarasi who took us through lanes I would never have found and fed us at three places I will be going back to.

08:00 at Amber Fort is non-negotiable
We were through the Sheesh Mahal before the first coach party arrived. By ten it was unrecognisable. Udaipur was deliberately quiet which after Jaipur is exactly what you want. The Ranakpur stop adds two hours to a long day — take it anyway.

Kanchenjunga at 05:12, and then the tea
Tiger Hill delivered — clear sky, the whole massif turning gold. But the part I did not expect to love was the Happy Valley walk. A proper estate tour with a tasting, not fifteen minutes and a gift shop. Both Sikkim permits were handled before we arrived and the vehicle changeover at Rangpo took twenty minutes exactly as described.

Four generations, nobody complained once
We travelled with my mother-in-law who is 79 and my daughter who is six. Every hotel had a lift, no drive was over four hours, and the Jain food was confirmed at each property before we arrived — I did not have to explain it once. The houseboat was the whole trip for the children.

Tsomgo in October was extraordinary
Half frozen at the edges and the sky reflecting off the rest of it. Worth the altitude headache. One tip: take the yak ride if you have children, skip it otherwise. The Rumtek morning was serene.

Read all Asman Tourism FAQsNo. Every page on this website — itineraries, hotel names, prices, the gallery and all reviews — is fully public. An account is needed for exactly three things: creating a booking, paying for it, and submitting a review after you travel.
Every price shown is per person on twin sharing, unless the package says otherwise. Single occupancy carries a supplement, which we will quote against your dates before you pay anything.
Payments run through Razorpay, which handles cards, UPI, net banking and wallets. We never see or store your card details. A booking is confirmed only once Razorpay confirms the payment to our server — not when your browser says so.
Your booking is kept, not deleted, with the status 'pending payment' and a retry link on your dashboard. If the amount left your account but the booking did not confirm, write to us with the transaction reference and we will reconcile it.
Not through the website. If you need a date held while a group confirms, send an inquiry and our team will hold it manually for up to 48 hours where the hotel allows.
We name the property we intend to use. If it is unavailable on your dates we substitute a hotel of the same category or better and tell you before you travel — never on arrival.
